REICH, WINNIE "JOAN” – Of Goodrich, age 86, died Friday, January 26, 2024 at Wellbridge of Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2024 at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 2051 West Maple Avenue, Flint, Pastor Mark Pretznow officiating.
Burial in Lakeside Memorial Cemetery in Holly.
Visitation 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. She will be at the church from 12 noon Monday until the time of the service.
Joan was born in Flint, Michigan at Women’s Hospital on December 13, 1937, the daughter of Lyle and Margaret (Rodgers) Schlegel.
She was a member of Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 2051 West Maple Avenue, Flint.
Surviving are husband, Arthur; children, Daniel Stephens, John (Patricia) Stephens, Lisa (George) Lewis, Kimberly (Ronn) Diehl, Suzette (Kenneth) Wright, John Sherman.
Sue (Tony) Marshan, Mark Reich, James Reich, Arthur III (Wendy) Reich, Mike (Melissa) Reigle, Larry Reigle, Keith (Julius) Reigle, Jack (Tina) Reigle, Jill (Bud) Clark and Mike (Melissa) Reigle; 42 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren. Sisters Terry (Frank) Tody and Deanne (Velmore) Calvert, brother Henry Schlegel. Sisters-in-law Carol Stephens Gladys Freund, Martha Waters and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Stephens; baby sister, Shirley Emma Schlegel and great-granddaughter, Heavenleigh Miracle Lewis.
