Link, Gerald “Jerry” – of Flint, age 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Regency in Grand Blanc. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. Memorial contributions may be made to the Old NewsBoys.
Jerry was born July 22, 1943, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Daniel and Ruby (Mead) Link. He graduated from Kearsley in 1976. Jerry married his best friend Kathryn Reddy on November 1, 1961. He worked for Buick as a screw machine operator for 35 years. Jerry was a member of Local 599 and the Old NewsBoys. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and watching any sports, especially hockey. Jerry had a couple loves one being Kathryn the others being the casino and good food. More than anything he was a great man with a big heart. Some may even call him a crotchety old fart, but the respect he earned helped balance that out. Jerry was an amazing husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed.
Surviving are: Wife of 62 years, Kathryn Link; Children: Reyna (David) Lane, Michelle Link, Daniel (Amy) Link, and Amiee (Chuck) McAfee; He was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; Brother, Donald Link; Sister, Edna Mullins; He is preceded in death by his daughter, Suzanne Walker; Sisters: Virgina Strong and Linda Link; Brother-In-Law David Mullins and Dale Strong.
