POTTER, Rita M. – Of Florida, formerly of Clio, age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 in Sarasota, Florida.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Rita was born in Flint, Michigan on April 8, 1938, the daughter of the late John and Hollis (Blasdell) Bertasso. Rita was a homemaker in Flint most of her life. She shared many years and memories camping, boating and traveling to Florida with her beloved husband, Levi.
Surviving are children, Russell Potter, Gregg (Mary) Potter and Carolyn Failing (Potter);
grandchildren, Holly, Christopher (Celia), Brandon, Sara (Randy) Somer, Spencer and Gage;
great-grandchildren, Levi, Casslynn, Adonis, Lucy, Christian, Lily, Mary and Savanna;
and her sister, Marlene Geisenhaver.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Levi Potter.
