CARDINAL, Douglas Glenn – of Montrose, age 60, died Monday, December 1, 2025 at Ascension Genesys Hospital of Grand Blanc. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December6, 2025 at O’Guinn Family Funeral home in Montrose, Michigan. John Montney officiating. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose, Michigan. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
Doug was born September 21, 1965 in West Branch, Michigan to the late Theodore and JoAnne (Blystone) Cardinal. He grew up in Montrose, Michigan and graduated from Montrose High School with the class of 1983. Doug received his Associate’s Degree from Northwestern Business College in Lima, Ohio. He was an independent sub-contractor for Subcon Unlimited with 20 years of service. Doug enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing horseshoes. He was an avid Lion’s and Michigan football fan. Doug also liked to do a few 12 oz. curls and have a safety meeting when he could.
Surviving are: Significant Other, Debbie Dikes; Step - Daughter, Diana (Jacob) McKay; Nephew, Kenny Cardinal; Special Lifelong Friends, Eric (Kim) Sorenson, Kip Byers, Matt (Tina) Jacobs, Darren Wheeler, Stewart (Kim) Wheeler.
