Genevieve R. Gooch, age 94, passed away on November 18, 2020 in Burton, Michigan. She was born in Flint, Michigan on January 3, 1926 to Egbert and Elizabeth Boes. Genevieve, or Jenny as she more commonly went by, was raised in Mt. Morris, Michigan where she went to school at Mt. Morris High School before graduating in 1945. She married her beloved husband Harry Gooch on March 14, 1946 in Imlay City, Michigan. Jenny was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Harrison and previously went to the First Baptist Church of Davison.
She is survived by her children Bill (Patricia) Gooch, Mark (Pam) Gooch, Kenny (Joyce) Gooch, Elizabeth (David) Piper, and Kevin (Diane) Gooch. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband Harry; her sons Jerry and Steven; and her sisters Pauline Chamberlin and Evelyn Poma.
Jenny’s visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22, beginning at 10 AM and ending at 1 PM at Brown Funeral Home in Grand Blanc. A private funeral service will be held at a later time.
The family would like to give a special thanks to The Medical Team Hospice and Lockwood Of Burton for the care they showed Genevieve. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Medical Team Hospice.
