Kiefer-Louchart, Lynette “Lynn” – of Clio, age 63, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2023, after a heroic and long battle with lung cancer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Friday, January 13, 2023, at St. Charles and Helena Catholic Church - 230 E Vienna St, Clio.. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 3:00pm until 8:00pm at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home. A time of sharing will be held at 6:00pm on Thursday followed with a Rosary. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Services of Midland County or Senior Services of Midland County.
Lynn was born January 7, 1959, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Paul and Patricia (Wojcik) Louchart. She was very passionate about her education, graduating from Clio High School in 1977, then moving on to earn an Associates Degree from Delta College, and finishing with her Bachelor in Education from University of Michigan. Lynn was a devoted teacher for 13 years at Flint Southwestern Academy and a dedicated member of The Grail. Lynn's passions included geology and astronomy. She was an avid rock collector and also known to have a green thumb. Lynn's easy smile, hardy laugh, and love of life will be greatly missed by many.
Surviving are: Daughter, Elizabeth (Cory) Strobel; Granddaughter, Madelynn Rae Bamberg; Mother, Patricia Szewczyk; Stepmother, Chanee Louchart; Siblings: Lisa (Tom Downey) Louchart, and Taylor Louchart; Grandmother, Joyce Shinkel; Nephews: TJ (Kimber) Downey, Patrick (Emma) Downey, Conor Downey; and Zachary Downey; Godmother, Mary Kay Louchart; dear friend, Sharon Joslyn; aunts and uncles; Darlene Louchart; Dennis (Lynne) Louchart; Bonnie Wojcik; Dale Wojcik; and an abundance of cousins and close friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Paul Louchart, stepmother, Virginia Shaffery, stepfather, Raymond Szewczyk, grandparents, Germaine and Theophile Louchart, Beatrice and John Wojcik, aunts and uncles: Betty and Steve Podulka, Ted Louchart, Raymond Louchart, Donna Wojcik, and Ronald Wojcik.
