ABBOTT, Sandra Carolee (Dawson) – of Flint, MI, age 75, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held 12 PM Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Daneen Eller officiating. Private interment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Monday, January 24, 2022 and 11 AM-12 PM Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home.
Sandra was born in Chicago, IL on September 24, 1946, daughter of the late Charles and Marion (Genung) Dawson. She married Gary J. Abbott on November 14, 1964 and he preceded her in death on August 8, 2014. Sandra enjoyed playing Bingo and trips to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino where she played the slot machines. She also loved to play internet Scrabble and spending time at the cabin Up North.
Sandra is survived by 2 sons, Gary J. (Carrie Sue) Abbott, Jr. and Randy (Jodi Banister) Abbott; 2 grandchildren, Danny Abbott and Sarah Abbott; brother, Robert Dawson; sister-in-law, Barbara (Daniel) Headrick; brother-in-law, Robert E. (Cheryl) Abbott; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marion Dawson; husband, Gary J. Abbott, Sr. and sister-in-law, Julie Stockmeyer.
