Jackson, Barbara J. – of Bridgeport, age 66, passed away, Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Winter Village in Frankenmuth. A Celebration of Barbara Jean’s life will take place at 11AM, Thursday, October 3, 2024, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Pastor Ted McCulloch to officiate. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4PM until 8PM and on Thursday from 10AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions my be made to Millet Learning Center.

Barbara Jean was born in Saginaw, Michigan, on April 20, 1958, to Harry and Dorothea McIntosh, and grew up to be a woman of great compassion and dedication. Barbara Jean pursued her education, earning a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology from Michigan State University. For 25 years, she devoted her time and talents to the Millet Learning Center, positively impacting the lives of many students. Her commitment to her work was truly commendable. A woman of deep faith, Barbara Jean was an active member of the Taymouth Presbyterian Church, finding solace and strength in her spiritual community. She possessed a kind heart and a generous spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Barbara Jean had a passion for animals, particularly dogs, and dedicated herself to rescuing and caring for these precious creatures. In her leisure time, Barbara Jean enjoyed cross-stitching and collecting angels, hobbies that brought her joy and comfort. Barbara Jean’s warm personality, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Surviving are: Mother, Dorothea Smith; Siblings: Don McIntosh, Margaret Ann (Jack) Chase, Peter (Barb) McIntosh, Paul McIntosh, Sharon (Darrel) Belanger; Nieces and Nephews: Amanda and Alexandra, Scott, Dan, Sarah, Elizabeth, Rachel, Tara, Tricia, Robert, Brian, Blake, Heather; She was blessed with many great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Harry McIntosh, Brother, Robert McIntosh and Merle Smith. The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to many caregivers for the comfort and compassion they gave Barb.
