Lord, Ronald Roy of Flint, age 78, died Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Hurley Medical Center. He selflessly contributed to the Gift of Life. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Faith Missionary Church, 1327 Elms Rd. Flint, Michigan 48532. Rev. Brent Kriesch will officiate. There will be a gathering of family and friends 10 a.m. Saturday at the church until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Missionary Church or Flushing Christian Outreach Center.
Ronald was born in Flint, Michigan on March 9, 1944, the son of Harry and Helen (VanOosten) Lord. He married Marilyn Hallet-Hopper on June 14, 1979, in Flushing. Ronald worked as an Electrician for over 40 years, retiring from Markee Electric in Flint. He was a member of the IBEW Local 948. Ronald was a faithful member and active at Faith Missionary Church. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and yardwork. Ronald was a fix-it man who could often be found helping others. He was a proud dad and papa and loved being with his family, especially his grandkids, whether it was building projects with them or supporting them at their sporting events.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Dana Lord, Ronnie Lord, Tami and husband Edward Warren; grandchildren, Conner Warren, Timothy Brewer, MacKenzie Lord, Nicholas Warren, Patrick Lord, Clayton Lord, Colin Lord; great-granddaughter, Harley Lord; siblings, Carolyn Lord, Harry Joe and wife Janie Lord; and beloved dog, Max. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Tina Hopper. |
