GRIMSKE, Lois Evelyn - of Flint Township, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, May 24, 2021. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday May 28, 2021 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 402 S. Ballenger Hwy, Flint. Pastor Dean Dumbrille officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the church Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church Altar Guild or Heart to Heart Hospice.
Lois was born March 29, 1929 in Ludington, MI. the daughter of Robert H. and Mable L. (Nelson) Fredberg. She attended Michigan State University. She was employed by the Carman School District in the Resource Center. She was a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Flint. Lois was known for her strong faith in her Lord and her work with Stephen Ministries and Bible Study Fellowship. She enjoyed gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, playing in the water, and her grandchildren and great grand children.
Surviving are: her husband of 70 years, Frank; children, Susan Kai (Robert) of West Branch, Timothy Grimske (Valerie) of Novi, Carol Bush (Dana) of Traverse City, and Fredric Grimske of Elkhart, IN; grandchildren, Marc Kai, M.D. (Taylor) of Baltimore, MD, Andrew Bush (Stephanie) of The Colony, TX, Steven Bush of Denver, CO, Dominic Grimske (Courtney) of Elkhart, IN, and McKenna Grimske of Mishawaka, IN; great grandchildren, Emmy, Drew, and Isla; sister, Dorothy Kleinschmidt of Scottsdale, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Erich Grimske. The family would like to express a special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice for all of their compassionate caring, and gratitude to two special people; Judy and Tina. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
