ETUE, Vincent “Ralph” – of Clio, age 90, went peacefully to be with his family and his Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Covenant Glenn of Frankenmuth. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Thursday, January 18, 2024, at SS. Charles and Helena Catholic Church – 230 E. Vienna St., in Clio. A private burial will take place at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10AM until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the SS. Charles and Helena Catholic Church.
Vincent was born February 11, 1933, in Flint, to the late Leo and Jennie (Delosh) Etue. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and worked as a conductor on the railroad in Flint until his retirement. Vincent shared 60 years with his beloved wife, Mary (Kowalczyk) Etue, and together they were members of SS. Charles and Helena Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 695, in Flint, for 73 years - making him the oldest and longest member they had. During his younger years, Vincent enjoyed going bowling and keeping his hands busy with woodworking, gardening, and canning. He liked to watch sports, especially the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. Vincent was an extraordinary man who had an easy going, kind soul. He will be dearly missed. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at the Covenant Glenn of Frankenmuth for their professionalism and care during Vincent’s stay.
Vincent is forever loved by his wife, Mary; Children: Rick (Marge) Martin, Joe (Terry) Martin, and Janet Rush; 7 Grandchildren; 10 Great-Grandchildren and 2 due 2024; Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Jennie; 2 Great-Grandchildren; Son-in-law, Rob Rush. |
