Younce, Joseph Moody, Sr. - Age 90, of Flint, died March 19, 2022. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, March 30 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc.Bishop Keith McKinnes officiating. Interment to follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 N. Belford Rd. Holly. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Tuesday, March 29 and 10 AM Wednesday until the time of the service. Joseph was born September 4, 1931 in Franklin, NC., the son of Granville and Laura (Duvall) Younce. He attended Franklin High School. Joseph served his country in the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He worked for General Motors as a truck driver before retiring in 1985. Joseph played bluegrass the majority of his life. He is survived by his wife, Louise; children, Joseph Younce Jr., Kimberly (Gary) Swisher of Gaines, Joan Khachouf; 4 grandchildren, Rob Cross Jr., Amanda Cross, Daniel Hatchew, Gabriella Younce; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Frances Waldroup, and Lois Duvall; special dog, Molly. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marsha Cross; 1 sister; 2 brothers; grandchild, Crystal Cross. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
