SAUNDERS, Bruce– of Burton, MI, age 65, passed away on March 22, 2022 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1PM Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Kyle McRill officiating. Family will receive visitors starting at 11AM until the time of service on Saturday.
Bruce was born in Flint, MI on February 23, 1957, son of Fred Saunders and Shirley Swearingen. He married Sheila Pizzala on June 9, 1984. Bruce was a graduate of Flint Central High School where he played football and competed in wrestling. He retired from General Motors after 30 years. Bruce loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Some of the greatest memories made were up north camping and listening to his music around the fire. He loved being outside, boating, fishing and hunting.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Sheila Saunders; 3 children, Hillary (Brent) Stockel, Drake (fiancé Erin) Saunders and Katlyn (fiancé William) Saunders; 2 grandchildren, Maaliyah Stockel and Taelin Stockel; sister, Sherry (Alex) Allen; many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred Saunders and Shirley (Saunders) Swearingen; brother, Jerry Saunders; and sister, Linda Lott.
