HAMILTON, Dr. Robert LeRoy - Of Grand Blanc, age 77, died Sunday, May 1, 2022 at The Oaks of Woodfield in Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, David Hamilton officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to AKF.
Visitation 11am Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Robert was born in Ashland, Ohio on April 15, 1945, the son of the late Robert Elsworth, August 22, 1917 – August 6, 1989 and Edna L.(Manley) Hamilton, September 13, 1921 – February 11, 1990.
On July 31, 1965 he married Linda Lou Hastings at Rowsburg Lutheran Church in Rowsburg, Ohio and she preceded him in death on April 13, 2019.
He was a member of Church of Christ.
Dr. Hamilton was a member - AMA 1980 – 2022, Ohio State Alumni Association 1967 – 2022 and Grand Blanc Jaycees
Dr. Hamilton was a Family Physician for over 40 years in the Genesee County area.
He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, watching Ohio State Athletics, and was a season ticket holder of the Detroit Red Wings.
Survivors, David Hamilton (son) and Amy Lavery (son's fiancé);
sister-in-law, Diane (Don) Dryer;
brother-in-law, Rusty (Peggy) Hastings;
niece, Molly Miller;
nephews, Matthew Miller and Michael (Kristy) Miller.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Hamilton; sister-in-law, Brenda (Roger) Miller.
