WILLIAMS, Charles "Charlie" Robert - Age 78, of Grand Blanc, died December 28, 2020. No public services will be held at this time, but the family will plan a memorial service at a later date. Charlie was born April 5, 1942 in Flint, the son of Fayetta Williams. He married Lori Rae Thronson March 13, 2004 in Grand Blanc. Charlie had a passion for drag racing and partnered with Garth Hill to form Hill & Williams Racing for almost 50 years. After retiring from Applegate Chevrolet, Charlie enjoyed riding his Harley and was a member of Rusty Spokes Motorcycle Group. Charlie's love for race cars never went away and he also spent time crewing with good friend Jody Holland. Charlie is survived by his wife, Lori of Grand Blanc; daughter, Dawn (Ken) Cooper of Ortonville; step-daughters, Stephanie (Tim) Sudz of Swartz Creek, Kelly (Dennis) D'Aigle of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Lexi Cooper, Vivian Sudz, Murphy D'Aigle, Griffin D'Aigle; lifelong friend and racing partner, Garth (Theda) Hill of Mt.
