VanWormer, Stanley – of Clio, formerly of Millington, age 86, died Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at his residence. Burial in Flint Memorial Park with graveside Military honors under the direction of Clio VFW Gordon R. Bennett Post #1452, on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 1PM at Flint Memorial Park. Pastor Goodman Cox officiating. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Stanley was born October 25, 1934, in Millington, to the late CN and Margaret (Seibert) VanWormer. He graduated from Millington High School and later served in the United States Army. Stanley worked for General Motors for 24 years before retiring at the age of 65. He was predeceased in death by his first wife Madeline (Mathews) and later married Beverly (VunCannon) who also preceded him in death. Stanley spent his time working on his pride and joy, his classic car, as well as keeping his lawn and yard tidy. He also loved gambling and all animals. Stanley was a well-loved man and will be missed for his gentle and kind soul.
Surviving are: Children, Kevin (Theresa) Crowder, Julie (Charles) Carpenter, Mark (Rhonda) VanWormer, Judith Crowder, Margaret (Dawson) Corner, Alfred (Ilona) Crowder; 10 Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren; Siblings: Marie (Chuck) Steele, and Dale VanWormer; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: both Spouses: Madeline Mathews and Beverly VunCannon, Parents, CN and Margaret VanWormer; and Furry companion, Shadow.
