PERAINO, Andrea “Andy” Valentino – of Davison, MI, age 91, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 PM Friday, June 18, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Interment, with Military Honors, immediately following the Mass in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Thursday, June 17, 2021 and 11 AM-12 PM Friday, June 18, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 6 PM Thursday, June 17, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, followed by Memorial Services conducted under the auspices of the Davison Knights of Columbus Bishop Albers Council 4090 and the Ardon F. Dubie Fourth Degree Assembly 0523. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in Andy’s memory.

Andy was born in Flint, MI on February 14, 1930, son of the late Philip and Nellie (Barbara) Peraino. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1947-1949 and the U.S. Marine Corps. from 1951-1953. Andy married Vivian Cavalier on July 19, 1952 in Flint, MI. He retired from General Motors after more than 33 years of service. After retirement, Andy worked for Flint Manufacturing. He was a member of the Davison Knights of Columbus Bishop Albers Council 4090 and Ardon F. Dubie Fourth Degree Assembly 0523, where he served as past Grand Knight and past Faithful Navigator. He was also a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Andy enjoyed hunting, bowling, golfing and spending time with his family and friends.

Andy is survived by his wife, Vivian Peraino; 5 children, Phillip (Cindy) Peraino, Nannette (Tim) Wolak, Vic Peraino, Frank Peraino and Andrea (Joe) Ebnit; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Josephine Soresi; brother-in-law, Angelo D’Angelo; many other loving family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Nellie Peraino; 2 sisters, Sara Parks and Vera D’Angelo; 3 brothers, Philip Peraino, Roy Peraino and Bill Peraino.
