STOWE, Sherwood Owen "Woody" - age 84, of Fenton, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022. Funeral Services will be held 3 PM Thursday, April 14 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be 12 PM until the time of service Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to Adopt-A-Pet of Fenton or may bring in a pet supply or food donation for Adopt-A-Pet; or to the American Stroke Association.
Woody was born January 11, 1938 in Saginaw, the son of Lyle and Florence (Ackels) Stowe. He owned and operated Stowe's Cove in Fenton. Woody was also a bump and paint man for many years. He loved living on the lake and his Chris-Craft. He loved and enjoyed his family and dancing.
Woody is survived by: his 5 children, Danelle (Dennis) Martin of Presque Isle, Michelle (Larry) Webb of Presque Isle, Curtis (Jodi) Stowe of Atlanta, MI, Danielle "Elly" Teunion-Smith (Rick) of Onsted, MI, Lyle (Carla) Stowe of Fenton; wife, Bonnie; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Iris Ruess, Janet Stowe; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gwen; sister, Sandra Swanson; and granddaughter, Catherine Webb. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
