MCCULLOUGH, Elinore Essie - Of Flint, age 93, died Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Caretel Inns of Linden.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor David Rossow
officiating.
Private Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Life Community Lutheran Church, Multiple Sclerosis or American Cancer Society.
Elinore was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 1, 1928, the daughter of the late Hugo G. Marquardt and Essie E. Pease and was a resident of the Flint area since 1931.
She married John McCullough on July 23, 1949 in Flint. She was a member of New Life Community Lutheran Church and a life member of D.A.V. Auxiliary Chapter #3.
Elinore worked at the Pentagon for the Navy Department, Army Signal Corps and office of Price Stabilization in Washington D.C. for 5 years.
Mrs. McCullough was employed by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation as a bookkeeper for 20 years, retiring in 1986.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Kathleen and husband Kevin Fox,
Nancy and husband Richard Mathers;
grandchildren, Angie McCarty, Kristine Sherwood, Traci Jones, Staci McCullough and Nicholas McCullough;
great-grandchildren, Parker, Reese, Alexis, Carter, Madison, Anna, Lydia, Taylor, William, Phillip Michael, Zoey, Trista and Marissa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Michael; grandson, Michael, Jr.; sister, Lucille Ervin; brother, Wilton Marquardt; sister-in-law, Marcella Marquardt and brother-in-law, Carl Ervin.
