CHRISTENSEN, Dorothy L. – of Davison, age 92, passed away on May 2, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 W. Flint St., Davison; Pastor Todd Frusti officiating. Interment will follow the service in Meadowview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday, May 8, 2023, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Trinity Lutheran Church.
Dorothy was born in Flint, MI on February 20, 1931, daughter of the late Frank and Virginia (Hillier) Albro. She married Robert Christensen on February 17, 1956 in Flint, MI and he preceded her in death on April 20, 2018. Dorothy worked at AC Spark Plug before retiring to be a full-time mother. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and volunteered her time writing cards. For over 40 years, she volunteered her time to the Red Cross organizing Blood drives in Davison. As many know, she also liked to paint and draw, she was very artistic.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Marta Compton; son, Scott (Wendy) Christensen; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Albro; many other loving family members and friends.
