GILBERT, Roger B. - Age 83, of Gaines, passed away February 9, 2022. Roger was born June 7, 1938 in Swartz Creek, the son of Richard C. and Helen M. (Tunningley) Gilbert. He married Dona McKean on July 4, 1959; she preceded him in death on May 16, 2005. Roger was a veteran of the US Army. He retired from General Motors in 1992, after 32 years of service. He was a hard worker and loved tractors, especially John Deere. He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia (Mark) Webster and Sandra Gilbert all of Gaines; grandson, Mark (Sarah) Webster of Kalamazoo; granddaughter, Katelyn (Joshua) Dean of Durand; great-granddaughter, Adrielle Webster of Kalamazoo; brother, Gary (Judy) Gilbert of Lowell; sister, Sharon Lampi of Gaines; sister-in-law, Shirley Gilbert of Grand Blanc; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Dan and Jim; sister-in-law, Shelia Gilbert; brother-in-law, Gordon Lampi; mother-in-law, Minnie McKean; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Murphy; brother-in-law, Chuck Murphy.
