GRAHAM, OWEN L. – of Clio, age 87, died peacefully at home on Thursday, December 2, 2021, with family by his side. Funeral services will be held at 2PM Sunday, December 5, 2021, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 12PM until the time of service at 2PM. Private Burial will be held in Flint Memorial Park with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Toys for Tots.
Owen was born November 5, 1934, in Flint, Michigan, Son of the late Sterling and Mary (Silver) Graham. He graduated from Clio High School in 1954. Mr. Graham enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps where he served in the A Bomb Test Unit until he was honorably discharged in 1957. Owen was extremely proud to be a Marine and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #225. He married Gloria J. Bissonette on May 16, 1959. Owen retired from General Motors - Flint Truck and Bus in 1989. He loved fishing, and sports – especially the University of Michigan. Above all, Owen loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: Wife of 62 years, Gloria Graham; Daughter, Marcell Brown; Son, Thomas (Debbie) Graham; Grandchildren: Carlyle Brown, Cassandra Noll, Cera Koch, Vanessa Riley, and Joshua Graham; 11 great grandchildren; Sister, Gloria Foster. Owen was preceded in death by: Son, Brian M. Graham; Sisters: Ruth Harsen, and Isabelle Hamacher. The family extends a special thank you to The Medical Team Hospice staff, especially Jolene, Jennifer, Corey, and Charles for all their love and care.
