AVERY, Patricia M. - Age 90, of Fenton, passed away May 3, 2022. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, May 7, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. Robert Copeland Celebrant. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, with a Rosary at 7PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association. Patricia was born October 11, 1931 in Harbor Beach, the daughter of Robert and Antoinia (Clor) Downey. She was a 1949 graduate of Our Lady of Lake Huron High School. Patricia married Dale Avery on October 22, 1953; he preceded her in death on January 25, 2021. Patricia worked in the Meat Department as a clerk at Kroger for 16 years. She was a longtime member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where she had served as an usher and on the funeral luncheon committee. She enjoyed painting and the Game Show Network. Surviving are her son, Kim (Guadalupe Sheets) Avery; grandchildren, Karmen (Stephanie) Avery, Derek (Erica) Avery, Eric (Tracy) Avery and Nicholas (Kat) Avery; great-grandchildren, Logan, Henry, Levi and Lucy; brother, Dennis (Sylvia) Downey; sister, Rose (Pete) Bandelow; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, Todd Avery; and her brothers, James, Joseph, Jerome, Michael and Mark; sister Catherine. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
