IRWIN, Helen Louise – age 87 of Flint, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac, MI. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Sunset Hills Cemetery 4413 Flushing Rd., Flint, MI at 12:00PM. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettle officiating. Helen was born May 14, 1927 in Sodus Twp., MI to Rudolph and Louise (Hunt) Redlick. Helen married James Ellsworth Irwin and the two of them raised their family in Flint. She worked as a line worker for Container Specialty in Flint for many years. Helen was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed camping in their Winnebago. Surviving are her children, son William (Marsha) Irwin, and daughter Gloria (Robert) Olszewski; grandchildren, William Jr., Jimmy, Tanya, and Tracie; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband James of more than 50 years; 2 brothers and 1 sister. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
