ROBERTS, Dolores Marie (Swanson) – age 91, passed away on February 25, 2024 at Charter Senior Living of Davison. A Funeral Service be held 11 AM Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Fr. Dieudonne Ntakarutimana officiating. Private interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Vassar, MI. The family will receive visitors 3-7 PM Friday, March 1, 2024 and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Allen Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM.
Dolores was born in Flint, MI on January 6, 1933, daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Beson) Swanson. She married Earl A. Roberts on August 7, 1956 in Clio and he predeceased her July 17, 1997. Dolores enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. Faith was very important to Dolores. She was a founding member at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Dolores is survived by her children, Stephen J. (Patricia) Roberts, Catherine E. McAuliffe, Norman A. (Debbie) Roberts; grandchildren, Ryan (Darcie) Roberts, Kevin (Rachel) Roberts, Robert Lewis, Austin (Tricia) Roberts, Nicole Roberts, Shane and Shannon McAuliffe; great-grandchildren, Ian Roberts, Taryn Roberts, Wren Roberts, Ashlyn Roberts and Flynn Roberts; brother, Ray Swanson; many other loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, Dolores was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Tom McAuliffe; great-grandson, Tyler; sisters, Janet (Ward) and Donna (Don); sister-in-law, Carol Swanson.
