HEIT, Marjorie Kay - Age 84, of Flint, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc (A live Stream of the service will be available on Marjorie's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Pastor Jason Crum officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial in Great Lake National Cemetery in Holly 9:00 AM Monday, December 19, 2022.
Marjorie was born May 19, 1938 in West Branch, the daughter of Ivan LaVern and Dorthy E. (Walters) Wangler. She was a 1956 graduate of Lapeer High School. She married Frank Arthur Heit July 11, 1956 in Angola, IN and he preceded her in death December 12, 2013. She had resided in Michigan most of life. Marjorie retired as a institutional cook for the Harlan Schools in Kentucky; and she also had been employed by Rosehaven Retirement Home in Irving, TX. She was a member of the Boy Scouts of America for 32 years. She enjoyed traveling, bingo, gardening and playing board games.
Surviving are: her children, Nicholas W. Heit of Irving, TX, Frank A. Heit, Jr. of Burton, Brad C. Heit of Davison, and Michelle K. Miller of Kalamazoo; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Carly Wilson of Vassar, Aileen Vroman of Grand Blanc and Ruth Wiley of Columbus, OH; brothers, Carl (Marge) Wangler of Davison and Bob (Denise) Wangler of Essexville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Donna and Jane; and brother, Michael. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
