CURRAN, Dawn Lee – of Davison, MI, age 80, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at the Cottage of Davison. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM June 16, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 W. Flint St., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Todd Frusti officiating. Inurnment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly at a later date. The family will receive visitors 3-7 PM Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. There will be visitation one hour prior to the service at church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
Dawn was born in Canton, OH on December 30, 1942, daughter of the late Homer and Catherine (Deimling) Gonser. She married Richard Curran on August 5, 1967. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2011. Dawn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Davison. She worked for the State of Michigan in the Department of Corrections in Flint and Charlevoix.
Dawn is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Todd) Frusti of Davison, Valerie Smith of Roscommon; grandchildren, Emma (Daren) Jackson of Anchorage, AK, Cailin Frusti, Gretchen Frusti of Davison, Rylan Smith of Roscommon; great-grandchild, Demarcus “Zeke” Jackson; brothers, Terry (Pat) Gonser, Lauren (Kathy) Gonser, Scott (Jerid) Gonser; sister-in-law, Joanne Curran; many nieces, other loving family members and friends.
