COCHRANE, JOANNE E. - of Montrose, age 65, died peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Medilodge of Montrose. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Montrose United Methodist Church – 158 E. State St., in Montrose. Burial to follow in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday from 12PM until 8PM, and on Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for a future Montrose Youth Memorial Fund.
Joanne was born January 15, 1957, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Jess and Barbara (Doty) Primm. She graduated from Flint Southwestern High School in 1975. Joanne married Dennis Cochrane on May 21, 1977, in Flint. They enjoyed 41 years together before he preceded her in death on July 20, 2018. She worked at The Fair Store in Flint and TNG for many years. Joanne was a faithful member of Montrose United Methodist Church and served as the youth group co-leader. She also served as Montrose Athletic Booster president for over 20 years. Joanne enjoyed attending sports, camping, and crafting. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and watching them at their sporting events and activities.
Surviving are: Daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Kahn; Son, Jeremy (Jackie) Cochrane; Grandchildren: Lexie, Avery, Abbie, Emerson, Reese; Mother, Wanetta Cochrane; Siblings: Bill Primm, and Janet (Chuck) Groubert; Mother in law, Wanetta Cochrane; Sisters in law: Tina Cochrane, and Wadeana (Tim) Grimshaw; Several nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends. Joanne was also preceded in death by: Father-in-law, Ora Dean; Nephew, Robert Cochrane; Brother-in-law, Gilbert Cochrane; Sister-in-law, Lorrie Primm.
