Slogor, Michael F. Of Flushing, age 73, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2022, at Rossell Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will be 4 p.m. Friday until the time of the service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s honor to Kindred Hospice or Carriage Town Ministries.
Michael was born at St. Joseph Hospital in Flint, Michigan on March 26, 1948, the son of Edward and Helen (Pomeranski) Slogor. The family moved to Flushing when Mike was six years old and he has resided there to present day.
He married Arla Nanette Baley on September 16, 1971, at St. Robert Bellermine Catholic Church in Flushing. There they raised their three children. Michael was a devoted husband and father and a most passionate fan of U of M football. He was the youngest Foreman in Buick at age 23, retiring many years later as a General Foreman.
Michael leaves behind his family; wife, Arla; son, Matt (Kasandra) Slogor; daughter, Sara (Ernest) Garcia; son, TJ (Jessica) Slogor; grandchildren, Thomas and Charlie Garcia, Braden and Tessa Slogor, Kadie and Cole Sabourin, and little Kensli Slogor, who always made him smile; sister, Camilia Keller; brother, Edward Slogor; cousin, Virginia (Gerry) Obierski; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law; maternal grandmother, Camilia Pomeranski; aunt, Wanda Boluk; sister-in-law, Libby Slogor; and bother-in-law, William Keller.
