Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Saginaw Senior Care and Rehab Center. Age 89 years. The son of the late Chester and Marvel (Ancel) Cummings, Wayne was born on June 9, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Ludon M. Thompson on June 24, 1950. She predeceased him on May 17, 2007. Wayne worked at Mac Distributing and Antcliff Aluminum. He enjoyed watching auto racing, especially with his on for many years.
Surviving are two daughters and their spouses, Doris and Gary Miller of Saginaw; Cheryl and Tim Lachcik, of Burton; his daughter-in-Law, Terri Cummings, Owosso; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his son, Myron Cummings; two brothers, Frederick and Chester Cummings, and one sister, Lila Blakley.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of New Hope Valley and Saginaw Senior Care for their loving and compassionate care.
Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastor Larry Blankenship will officiate. Interment will take place in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
