WHEELER, Eleanor M. (Lamb) – of Davison, MI, age 84 passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at her home. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Davison United Methodist Church, 207 East Third Street, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Rob McPherson officiating. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-1 PM Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Davison United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Davison United Methodist Church, in Eleanor’s memory.
Eleanor was born in Flint, MI on March 20, 1938, daughter of the late George and Julia (Morea) Lamb. She married Larry Wheeler on April 24, 1999 and he preceded her in death on November 21, 2018. Eleanor was employed as a telephone operator, working in administration at FOH Hospital. She retired from Genesys Hospital on September 15, 1994 after 31 years of service. Eleanor was a member of Davison United Methodist Church.
Eleanor is survived by 2 nephews, William O. Lamb and Douglas (Cattina) Coulter; niece, SueAnn M. Stephens; 3 stepchildren, Marcia Howell, William Fleming and Karen (Mike) Windrim; 9 step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 3 step-nieces, Tina Johnson, Genevieve Howard and Julie Schroeder; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Julia Lamb; her husband, Larry Wheeler; special niece, Carol Coulter; 2 siblings, Evelyn and William; nephew-in-law, Gregory Stephens and step-daughter, Lisa.
