TANKERSLEY, LeRoy Connie - age 87, of Flushing, formerly of Flint, died January 18, 2021. A private funeral service will be held 5 PM Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473. Visitation will be held from 2 PM - 5 PM Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. LeRoy was born April 17, 1933, the son of Connie Carlton and Catherine Caroline (Slough) Tankersley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during the Korean War. LeRoy married Barbara Whitehead on April 2, 1955. He retired from Consumers Energy as a Gas Lineman after 46 years of service. Surviving are: wife, Barbara; son, Ken (Samantha) Tankersley of Largo, MD; siblings, Kenneth (Margaret) Tankersley, Ginger (Rod) Gebhardt, and Pat Adams; many nieces and nephews.
