GOSNELL, Lena “Faye” – Of Flint, age 82,went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 23, 2023 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Ron Scott
officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity Baptist Church RU Recovery.
Visitation 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Lena was born in Princeton, West Virginia on May 18, l940, the daughter of the late George and Leafie (Hall) Crouse.
On May 23, 1959 Lena Faye Crouse married James Gosnell in Flint at New Home Baptist Church and they had been married for 63 years.
They were faithful members of Trinity Baptist Church.
She enjoyed crocheting, loved her family and friends. Lena loved having her special Wednesday date night with her loving husband, Jim, ending it every time at church.
Mrs. Gosnell was employed by Woolworth for over a decade as a cashier and was involved in RU Recovery Addiction Ministry caring for children.
Surviving are husband, Jim;
son, James (Marva) Gosnell;
daughter-in-law, Marie Gosnell;
grandchildren, Joseph (Hannah),Benjamin, Sara and Catherine (Aaron) Harmon;
great-grandchildren, Gabriella and Samuel;
siblings, Darrell Crouse, Richard (Lorraine) Hypes and Regina Doyle.
She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew and brother, Larry.
