Rodney L. Matznick Sr., age 77 of Byron, passed away Sunday, November 20th, 2022 at his home. A gathering of friends will take place on Monday, November 28th, 2022 from 5-8 PM at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel.
Rodney Lyn Matznick was born January 18th, 1945 in Grand Blanc, a son of Gerald (Lois) Matznick. On November 23rd, 1963 he married Lynda Hartwick. He served 4 years in the United States Navy. Rodney enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, welding, gardening, tinkering with anything, and spending time with his family. Prior to his retirement in 1997, he had worked for General Motors for 28 years.
Rodney is survived by his children, Rodney (Laura) Matznick Jr., Brenda (Rich) Joslin, and Danny (Debra) Matznick; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Gary Matznick; Sister, Kay Combs; Many nieces and nephews; and daughter-in-law, Missy (Randy) Price. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda Matznick; brother, Randy Matznick; and his parents, Gerald and Lois Matznick.
