Beverly Jean Crawford Allen was born to Harry and Ina Kline Crawford on October 17, 1929, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and peacefully entered her Eterna Home on July 13, 2023.
In 1947, she graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School then attended the Saginaw General Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1950. Beverly married Carl Lindbergh Allen, on December 9, 1950, in Mt. Pleasant, MI. From this union were four children: David, Cynthia, Kathy, and Timothy.
In addition to being a wife, mother, and nurse, she enjoyed spending time at home reading, cooking, gardening, and canning. She unselfishly opened her home and shared her gift of hospitality with people from all walks of life. Beverly will be remembered by her many friends and family for her many acts of kindness and compassion.
She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a faithful member of the Bible Baptist Church, Birch Run, Michigan, until her health began to fail. It was her desire for others to know and experience the love of Christ and accept His free gift of Eternal Life.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, and brother. She is survived by her children: David Allen and wife, Cyd, of Ardmore, OK; Cynthia Lewis and husband, Charles, of Midland, NC; Kathy Mueller and husband, Jake, of Ooltewah, TN; Timothy Allen, of Birch Run, MI; Daughter-in-law, Carolyn Allen, Birch Run, MI; 14 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren.
A service to celebrate the life of this wonderful woman who brought joy to so many will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023, at the Bible Baptist Church of Birch Run, 6205 Birch Run Road, Birch Run, MI. Officiating will be her son, Rev. David G. Allen. and her pastor, Rev. Fred Smith. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run, and on Monday at the Bible Baptist Church, from 10:00 a.m., until her service. Thanks be to God for His abundant grace.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the following: Bible Baptist Church, 6205 Birch Run Rd, Birch Run, MI 48415.
The family would like to thank the Home Health care team, Covenant Visiting Nursing Association Hospice, and friends at Bible Baptist Church for their loving and compassionate care. Arrangements have been entrusted to the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home, of Birch Run, MI.
