BURWELL, Norbert Ronald - age 93, of Flushing, passed away, Sunday, December 18, 2022. Cremation arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.
Norbert was born October 9, 1929 in Flint, the son of Charles and Irene (Nixon) Burwell. He married Leone P. Simpson on November 22, 1975. Norbert graduated from Central High School and attended Flint Junior College. He was employed in the Experimental Lab as a Technician with the Buick Motor Division of GM for many years. Norbert was member of the Buick Auto Club of America. He was a talented saxophonist who was a member of the American Federation of Musicians. He performed in numerous bands. Norbert loved anything regarding Buick Automobiles.
Norbert is survived by: his wife, Leone P. Burwell; children, Sally Ladhe, Sam (Lisa) Burwell; stepchildren, Phyllis Williams, Nick (Chiab) Simpson, Laura (Rick) Stewart; 16 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
Norbert was preceded in death by: his sons, Ronald Burwell, and Charles Burwell; stepdaughter, Susan Johnson; 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
