WIROSTEK, Ernest L. – of Oakley, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family.
Ernest was born in Owosso on April 10, 1931, a son of Andrew and Katie (Tomalia) Wirostek and has lived in Brady Twp. most his life. Ernest was united in marriage to Helen Maciejeski on August 22, 1959. He loved being a farmer. He was a member of the former St. Michael Catholic Church in Oakley and a member of Shiawassee Conservation Club. He enjoyed playing Euchre, hunting, and riding his motorcycle and snowmobile, and loved being with his family and friends.
Ernest is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Helen; their children, Tom (Janet) Wirostek of North Carolina, Julie (Dave) Denton of Henderson, Mike (Karen) Wirostek of Oakely, and Don (Rachel) Wirostek of Oakely; grandchildren, Zachary (Jessica), Trevor (Marie Elena), Chandler, Delaney, Katie, and Seth; a sister, Irene Ferry of Chesaning; many nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Mary Jones, Emil Wirostek , Edward Wirostek, and Dorothy McKenzie; and a brother-in-law, Duane Ferry.
Inurnment will be held later in the Spring of 2025. Charitable donations can be given in memory of Ernest to WOES Radio. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
