Barkman, Arlene Sandra - Age 79, of Burton, died January 3, 2021. Private family visitation will be held and can be viewed by livestream on Arlene's page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com from 10:30 AM - 12 Noon Friday, January 8. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Arlene was born March 14, 1941 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Russell and Alberta (Wilcox) Mathie. She married Gerald Barkman on November 1, 1958. She retired from General Motors (AC) in 1997 with 30 years of service. Arlene enjoyed crocheting and knitting, and she was a very good cook. Surviving are: her husband Gerald; five children, Jerilyn (Terry) Bolen of Otisville, Cindy (Ken) Hadden of Flint, Gerald Jr. (Danielle) Barkman, Amy Yount (Troy Gross) of Chesaning, Carrie (Al) Keahl of Metamora; grandchildren, Dale, Melissa, Scott, Darrick, Gary, Hunter, Gabrielle, and Brenden; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Dana Flynn; grandchildren, Jennifer, Garrett and Jackie; sisters, Rosie, Emma, and Shirley; and brother Russell Jr. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
