David Lee Partin, age 74, of Flushing, Michigan passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022.
David was born July 10, 1948, in Pontiac, Michigan to the late John and Norma (Wineger) Partin. He was an avid fan of WWE, football and University of Michigan. David also enjoyed going to the casinos with his lovely wife, Pam. After 30 dedicated years, he retired from General Motors. During Vietnam, David served our country in the United States Army. David was a member of the VFW in Flushing, Michigan. While he lived in Traverse City, Michigan, he also became a member of their VFW and volunteered in the Honor Guard. David was "all about family" and he cherished his great grandchildren. He was loved, and will be deeply missed by his family, friends and everyone who knew him.
David leaves behind to cherish his memory of his beloved wife of 44 years, Pam; children Loretta Lynn (Lee) Malone and Pete Partin; grandchildren Jennifer (Eric) Lee and Danny (Ashley) Partin; many, many great grandchildren; siblings Shiela Sweedin and Darren Partin; sister in law Mary Shields; many great nieces and nephews, and his dog, Comet.
David is preceded in death by his parents, John and Norma; grandson Kenny Malone; brother in law Jeff Shields; and brother Don.
A visitation for David will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Reigle Funeral Home - 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, MI 48433. A funeral service will occur on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 1:00 PM, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at Reigle Funeral Home. Following the funeral service, David will be interred at Flushing Cemetery with Military Honors.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics, Area 13 in David's honor.
