Sims, Ms.Gwenetta age-50 passed Wednesday January 31, 2018 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday February 10, 2018 from the Mt. Herman M.B.Church G-5283 Clio Rd. Pastor LeQuin Williams, Sr. officiating, Rev. K.D.Yarber Host Pastor. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery 5710 N. Saginaw St. Family and friends will assemble at the church 10am for visitation. Ms. Sims will repose in the Chapel of the Martin J.Banks Funeral Home and may be viewed from 9am until 6pm Friday. Ms. Gwenetta Sims was born April 9, 1967 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of John and Delores Sims. She was raised in Flint and attended Flint Community Schools. She was baptized at an early age at Heavenly Host F. G.B.C. by Bishop M.C. Akins then later in life she joined Divine Resurrection Church under Pastor LeQuin Williams, Sr. Gwenetta was loved by all that knew her and always was the life of the party, "and that's a fact ok"! Gwen was very kindhearted, loving and a fun person to be around. Gwen really cherished her parents, all her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with everyone at anytime day or night. Gwen's favorite things to do was vacationing with her family, playing cards and going to the casino. Gwen will forever be in our hearts and she will be missed by many.
She leaves to cherish her memory children, Tony Rivers, Jr. of Milwaukee, Wis., Tiffani, Jamari, JaQuez (JaQuarra), Keyana, Azaria, Jai and JaShon Sims all of Flint, Grandchildren, Monteavon and Ga'Colby Sims, A'laye, Brennyn and Caydence Neal all of Flint, mother Delores Sims, 2 sisters Shirley (Kenneth) Glover and Tania (Kemeco) Sims all of Flint, 4 brothers Joe (Sylvia) Davis, Nick (Carolyn) Sims, Dewayne (Tonya) Fowler and John (Lashanda) Sims all of Flint. 9 aunts, 6 uncles a host of cousins other relatives and friends including special friend Tony Rivers, Sr.,favorite cousins Tasha Veal and April Hightower-Owens and best friend and sister in law Tonya Kirkland. She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents, 2 aunts and 3 uncles. The family would like to express special thanks to thanks to the staff at Hurley Medical Center and McLaren Regional Medical Center and April?
