Sharon Irene Yaklin
Age 72 of New Lothrop passed away Saturday at her home surrounded by her family, March 7, 2015.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11am on Wednesday March 11, 2015 at St. Michael’s Church of Maple Grove with Father Christopher Coman officiating. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home, New Lothrop Chapel on Tuesday March 10 from 1:00 to 8:00pm, and at the church from 10am until the time of service.
Sharon was born on July 21, 1942 to Arthur and Margaret (Burbank) Brown in Goodrich, Michigan. She graduated from New Lothrop High School in 1960. On September 2, 1961, she married Dennis A. Yaklin at St. Michael’s Church of Maple Grove.
Sharon was a homemaker all of her life; for years, she watched children for several different families. She also loved to golf, play cards, go to the casino, and mostly, to spend time with her family. Sharon was also a member of St. Michael’s of Maple Grove.
Sharon is survived by her husband Dennis; her children, Daniel Yaklin, Charlene (David) Klein, Alice Yaklin, Brenda Yaklin, Elaine (Bruce) Dankert, and David (Vince) Yaklin; her grandchildren, Kyle, Rebecca, and Grant Yaklin, DJ and Valerie Klein, Sydney and Rhyan Langdon-Yaklin, Luke and Haley Dankert, Denelle Duranso, and Keagan Vitous; special friend of the family Amy Senne; her brothers, Phillip (Karen) Brown and Melvin (Linda) Brown; and her brothers-in-law, Niles (Kathryn) Yaklin, Kenneth Yaklin, Charles (Margo) Yaklin, and Fred (Debora) Yaklin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur (Dolly) Brown and Margaret Brown; her father-and mother-in-law Clair and Margaret Yaklin; her brothers, Alvin, Russ, Larry, and Don Brown; and her sister, Marjie Brown. |
