Loretta Sue Shaw (Lorie), age 46, went gently into that good night on November 12, 2010 as a result of natural causes at her home in Ottawa Lake, Michigan.
She was born on October 7, 1964 in Toledo, Ohio to John Thomas Shaw and Terry Lynne O'Reilly. She is survived by her ten-year companion Todd M. Billis (45); children Amber Sue Kennedy (23), Nicole Cheree Shaw (21), and Roxie the Cat (6); siblings Tamara McNeely (47) and Jennifer Garret (44). Lorie was preceded in death by her brother John Shaw (47).
Lorie was employed with Lock-It-Up Self Storage as a facility manager - a position she was honored to hold and enjoyed for fourteen years. She repeatedly gave thanks to Mr. Harvey Tolson for providing her with such a fantastic opportunity when she needed it most.
Lorie derived great pleasure from helping others in need, spending time with her children and loved one, and playing My Café on Facebook while watching Grey's Anatomy. She led others through great examples of generosity of spirit and her heart-felt charitable contributions.
Over the last few months, Lorie looked fondly on the future of her daughters as they worked towards completing their undergraduate educations, developing wedding plans, and contemplating having grandchildren.
To honor Lorie's kind heart, a gathering will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 5pm until 8pm at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH 43560.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Amber Kennedy/Nicole Shaw Education Fund, c/o Fifth Third Bank, 5833 Monroe Street, Sylvania, Ohio 43560. Online memorials may be offered to the family at www.reebfuneralhome.com
