CUMMINS, GRACIE ANN MARIE– Of Flint, age 22, died Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Ascension Genesys Hospital, surrounded by family after a 9 month courageous battle with numerous health issues.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2024 at
Court Street United Methodist, 225 West Court Street, Flint, Pastor Jeremy Peters officiating.
Burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Gracie will be at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County or the Elmer Knopf Learning Center.
Gracie was born in Flint, Michigan on February 22, 2002, the daughter of
Brian and Lisa Cummins.
Gracie loved life, she loved music, singing and dancing. She loved her baby dolls, being a princess and most of all her Play-Doh. She also loved going on adventures with family (especially Aunt Suz and Mum Mum). Gracie meant so much to every single person that touched her life. She was the sweetest little girl in the world. We will spend forever missing her. Her passing has left a void that will never be filled.
Surviving are parents Lisa and Brian Cummins;
best friend and brother, Tyler;
special aunt and bonus mom, aunt Suz;
grandparents, Jean Flewelling, Robert and Dona Oakman and Debbie Cummins.
great-grandparents, Paul and Donna Oakman and Lucille Starr
aunts, uncles and cousins, Amanda and Patricia Sedlarik-Oakman, Sara and Joshua Feasel, Seneca and Blake Bailey, Laura and Kelli Flewelling, Robert and Jen Cummins, Trish Oakman, Mike Lee and Kenny Oakman;
many other special nieces and nephews and family members.
She was preceded in death by James (Papa) Flewelling, Robert Cummins and Cheryl Piotrowski; Douglas Starr and Neil Starr.
Special thank you to Genesys 4th Floor PRCU Unit for their compassionate care and Elmer Knopf Learning Center for many years of love for Gracie.
