Sally J. Zendler, age 84 passed away on December 25, 2020 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Sally was born on July 29, 1936 to the late Warren and Jeanette Gresham in Flint, Michigan. She graduated from Flint Central High School. On August 14, 1954 in Flint, Michigan, Sally married the love of her life Robert Zendler, Sr.; together they created a life full of love and commitment to others. She was a member of Christian Women’s Club of Flint, Child Evangelism of Flint, a Christian Speaker, Bible School teacher, and a longtime member of The Flint Central Church of the Nazarene. Sally was a wonderful woman and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband, Robert Zendler, Sr.; sons: Dr. Robert J. (Katie) Zendler II, Dr. John W. (Deborah Clemens) Zendler; siblings: Pamela (Jack) McCarthy, Roy (Beverly) Carlson; grandchildren: Dr. Nicholas (Dr. Jessica) Zendler, Andrew (Kristen) Zendler, Joshua Zendler, Jack Plasters, Peter Plasters; great grandchildren: Marie Zendler, Maelyn Zendler, Annabelle Zendler; and daughter-in-law, Melissa Zendler. She was preceded in death by her grandson, RJ Zendler, III and grandson, Brent Zendler. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 11:00am with one hour of visitation prior to the service at Brown Funeral Home – 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Burial to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint, Michigan. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Flint Central Church of the Nazarene in memory of Sally. In compliance with the state and local mandates please practice social distancing, wear a facial covering, and follow gathering limitations while visiting. |
