JEROME, Peggy Joyce - Age 92, of St. Helen, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, Thursday, August 4, 2022. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 1-8 PM; and Friday from 9 AM until the time of service. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 12 at the funeral home. (A live stream on the service will be available on Peggy's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Deacon Rod Amon officiating. Burial in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Those desiring may make contributions to Compassus Hospice, 3217 M-55, West Branch, MI 48661.

Peggy was born July 20, 1930 in Flint, the daughter of John and Myrtle (McComas) Vantrease. She was a 1948 graduate of Flint Central High School. She had resided in St. Helen for the past 30 years coming from Swartz Creek/Flint. Peggy was a dance instructor for Parents Without Partners. She enjoyed gardening and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are: her children, Dan (Kay) Monroe of Swartz Creek, Debbie (Mike) Rice of Alexander, AR, Diane (Richard) Szabad of Little Rock, AR, Denae (John) Higham of Eatonton, GA, Dawn (Dennis) Smith of Argentine, Darrell Monroe of St. Helen, and Karen Hartel of Traverse City; 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marcella Banks, Betty Davis, and Billie Greason. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfunealhomes.com.
