SALAVICS, John “Johnny B” Michael – of Hubbard Lake, age 67, died Monday, April 12, 2021 at McLaren Northern Michigan. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 16, 2021 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Mr. Christopher Pangrl officiating. Burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery at 1:30 PM Friday, April 16, 2021. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Johnny B was born May 29, 1953 in Flint, Michigan to the late Joe and Dorothy (Bird) Salavics. He grew up in Beecher and graduated from Beecher High School with the class of 1971. He served his country in the US Air force from 1971 to 1975. He married Pamela Sue Hart in 1975 and she preceded him in death in 2014. Prior to his retirement in 2010 he worked for Dayton Freight for several years as a Dock Supervisor. Johnny B enjoyed hunting, fishing, nascar, and Tiger’s Baseball. However, spending time with friends and family was his greatest joy in life.
Surviving are: Daughter, Melissa (David Damon) Salavics; Grandchildren, Devin Damon, Aaron Damon; Siblings, George (Darnell) Salavics, Joe (Shirley) Salavics, Jim Salavics; several nieces and nephews; Special Friends, Larry (Helen) Pruett, Darrell (Diane) Pruett, Gary Woods, Ron (Pam) Liskey; many extended friends and family.
