NOVAK, Faye Elaine (Glenn) – of Flint, MI, age 83, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, January 5, 2024 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 6340 Roberta Street, Burton, MI 48509; Rev. Fr. Carl Simon celebrant. Interment immediately following the Mass in St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11-7 PM Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM Friday, January 5, 2024 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 6 PM Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Her preferred charities include children’s charities, American Indian charities or Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, in Faye’s memory.

Faye was born in Lilly, Pennsylvania on July 12, 1940, daughter of the late Andrew and Helen (Galligan) Glenn. Faye graduated with a nursing degree, and her compassionate nature led her to a fulfilling career in nursing, where she touched the lives of many with her healing hands and caring heart. She continued to practice nursing until her well-earned retirement. Faye’s love story with her devoted husband, Thomas Novak, began in 1958, and together they built a life full of joy, love, and countless cherished memories. Their bond was a shining example of commitment and partnership, lasting through the years and bringing happiness to all who knew them. A devout Catholic, Faye’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. Her unwavering devotion to her beliefs guided her through both joyous and challenging times. Faye’s faith also inspired her to be a source of strength and support for her family, providing them with love, guidance, and a strong moral compass. Faye was a true matriarch, devoting herself wholeheartedly to her family. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she took great joy in nurturing and showering them with love. In addition to her nurturing qualities, Faye was a woman of many talents. She knitted, crocheted, and sewed, and took up painting later in life. She was a great cook and hosted delightful tea parties for her grandchildren. Faye’s love for dance brought joy to many occasions. She will be remembered fondly by all who shared many special moments with her.

Faye is survived by her husband, Tom Novak; 6 children, Natalie Novak, Lynda Hardee, Thomas (Jeannie) Novak, Stephen (Linda) Novak, Matthew (Jennifer) Novak and Michael (Michelle) Novak; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 siblings, Donna (Floyd) Moore, Francis (Joanne) Glenn and Linda Behe; 2 sisters-in-law, Dorothy Glenn and LaVerne Glenn; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Helen Glenn; 5 siblings, Andrew Glenn, Richard Glenn, Jean Rocker, Shirley Lee and Gilbert “Bud” Glenn.
