LAKE, Nancy J. (Russ) – Of Flint, age 88, died Sunday, October 9, 2022 in South Carolina.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton, MI, Father Steve Anderson officiating.
Visitation 1-8pm Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, MI. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Monday evening at the funeral home. Visitation at church 10am Tuesday until the time of the Mass.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Redeemer Outreach.
Nancy was born in Flint, Michigan on January 18, 1934 the daughter of the late Robert and Flora (Nagel) Gray. She graduated from Flint Northern High School, Class of 1952. She was a proud Viking her whole life. Nancy was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and was very involved in the Outreach Program. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella.
Surviving are children, Douglas, Michael (Erna), Mark (Kiyoko), Debra Newton, Richard (Marjo), John (Lynnette) and Pamela Johnson;
and many grand, great and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Howard Lake and husband W. Ray Russ and grandson, Ricky.
