NEWBERRY, Pashan Leola (Reed) – of Flint, MI, age 67, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Friday, June 17, 2022 at Davison Missionary Church, 1481 North Gale Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Jason Crum and Dr. Alan Yerke co-officiating. The family will receive visitors 10-11 AM Friday, June 17, 2022 at Davison Missionary Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Davison Missionary Church or to Pashan’s family, in Pashan’s memory.
Pashan was born in Flint, MI on July 20, 1954, daughter of the late Kenneth and Marian (Johnson) Reed. She was a graduate of Bentley High School Class of 1972. She earned her nursing degree from Mott Community College and worked as a Registered Nurse at McLaren Lapeer Regional Medical Center. Pashan married William Zane Newberry on May 1, 1981 and he preceded her in death on June 8, 2022. She was a member of Davison Missionary Church. Pashan enjoyed gardening, being a nurse, raising her fur babies, redecorating, traveling to Anna Maria Island, FL and spending time with her great-grandchild, Noah.
Pashan is survived by 8 siblings, Teresa Wood-Hazen, Trevena (Bob) Desrochers, Renee´ (Chuck) Hoef, Darwin (Marie) Reed, Calvert (Sue) Reed, Twiliann Reed, Vonice (Jodie) Reed and Monique (Steve) Willey; grandsons, Hunter Newberry and Zane Newberry; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Marian Reed; husband, Zane Newberry and niece, Kandace Milostan.
