QUINN, Joyce Ann (Riley) – of Burton, MI, age 88, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, October 20, 2025 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5199 Richfield Road, Flint, MI 48506; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Interment immediately following the Mass in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 3-7 PM Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM Monday, October 20, 2025 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 5 PM Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, in Joyce’s memory.
Joyce was born in Saginaw, MI on January 22, 1937, daughter of the late David and Nina (Armstrong) Riley. Joyce married the love of her life, Lawrence Quinn, on December 15, 1955. Together, they shared a beautiful marriage built on faith and love until Lawrence preceded her in death on October 17, 1990. A woman of deep faith, Joyce was a dedicated member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church since 1963. Her devotion extended beyond the pews, as she generously gave her time volunteering for both the church and Holy Rosary Catholic School. Joyce found great joy and peace at her beloved cabin on Secord Lake in Gladwin, MI. It was there, surrounded by nature and laughter, that she created countless treasured memories with her family and friends. Whether it was quiet mornings by the water or evenings filled with stories and smiles, Joyce’s cabin was a haven of love and togetherness. Above all, Joyce treasured the simple, profound joy of spending time with those she loved. Her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family will remain in our hearts forever.
Joyce is survived by 4 children, Jill (Robert) Ayre, Jack (Barbara) Quinn, Jan (Michael) Jones and Jeffrey (Patricia) Quinn; 9 grandchildren, Jennifer, Scott, Mark, Allison, Trisha, Christopher, Jessica, Jared and Lisa; 16 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Nina Riley; husband, Lawrence Quinn; 2 brothers, Donald Riley and Bernard Riley and her longtime best friend, Lucille Martel.
